Terraria Devs: “Goodbye Stadia”
It seems thatTerraria has been ported to virtually every platform. Surprisingly, it won’t reach Google Stadia! One of the game’s leads, Andrew Spinks, tweeted that all of his Google accounts were locked by the Stadia host.
According to the tweet, he hasn’t violated any of the service’s terms, so the lockdown can be regarded as an attempt to keep Terraria from entering the platform. At least that’s what the developer says. The entire Re-Logic studio joined him. Later Spinks tweeted: “Consider it burned. #Terraria for @GoogleStadia is canceled. My company will no longer support any of your platforms moving forward.”
Spinks claimed that he couldn’t enter any of his accounts for over a month. He says that even all of his digital content and apps/games purchased on Google Play are blocked even though he paid “thousands of dollars” for them.
After a long silence from Google and due to immense fan support, Google finally unlocked all the accounts and gave the green light to the Terraria port. Re-Logic agreed to finish it. Still, the success on the platform is questionable as the fan base of the title is so huge and stable already. Would you like to play Terraria on Stadia?
